My girlfriend and i have been playing The Secret of Mana, a Super Nintendo classic that is an adventure/rpg type game with up to three players simultaneous. I know its old but it’s new to us (as is using emulators in general) and we are really enjoying it. I’m wondering if there are any other games that are very similar in regards to being RPG-like, two-player at the same time as a team, action oriented adventuring.
We do not care for the hard-core online-massive-multiplayer type games like "wow" and "everquest" and all that stuff.
In short, are there more games that are as good as, and similar to the Secret of Mana? any media platform is acceptable, as well as any generation of games.
In terms of multi-player in battles, Eternal Sonata for the Xbox 360/PS3 is really similar to the Secret of Mana. Its an RPG that has a really great story and great graphics.
There is always the Lego games (for all platform from the PS2 and newer) which are great for two people. Even if you are not a particular fan of Harry Potter, Indiana Jones, Batman or Star Wars, these games are still a lot of fun.
There is the Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles games. Theres one for the gamecube (which is best IMO) and there are 2 for the DS. They play a lot like Secret of Mana.
